This study, conducted by Phillip Mullins, explores the world in which the events of the New Testament took place. The New Testament is framed within a historical and cultural context. This class explores and summarizes the political, economic, and social setting of the events of the New Testament. Christ came to a certain place and at a certain time. Understanding and appreciating that world enhances one’s understanding of what is being done and taught in the days of Jesus and his first followers.
